Sequence

Put the album together, and hear it come together.

Sequence for Mac is where an album gets its running order and its master. Share it, and everyone working on the record hears it as it is now, in order, on their iPhone or Mac, with every version of every song and notes left at the moment they're about.

Beta For the Mac and iPhone.

An album in Sequence for Mac: two songs, each with its versions, who delivered them, and a note at 0:12.
On the Mac: each song in the album, every version of it, who sent it, and the notes on it.
The album on iPhone: the running order, what changed, and the song playing. The player on iPhone: the waveform with two notes marked on it. Activity on iPhone: who has listened, and how far into each song.
On iPhone: the album in its running order, the player with notes on the waveform, and who has listened.

How it works

  1. Put the album togetherOn the Mac, lay the songs out on one timeline with their gaps and crossfades, try other running orders, and master it with the plug-ins you already use.
  2. Share itPublish it for listening and send a link. Whoever opens it hears the album in order on their iPhone or Mac. During the beta, publishing is open to approved accounts.
  3. Hear it come togetherWhen you publish again, or a mix engineer delivers a new mix, everyone hears the new version straight away. Earlier versions stay a tap away.

What's in it

Running orders
Try the album in more than one order and switch between them, even while it plays.
Mastering
Effects on a song or across the whole album, with loudness, true peak and VU meters as you go.
Every version
Every mix of every song is kept. Any of them plays, and any can be put back in use for everyone.
Notes at the moment
Notes are pinned to a moment in a song and marked on its waveform, so nobody has to say "about a minute in".
Credits and details
Performers, writers, producers and engineers for every song, with its tempo, key and ISRC.
Mixes straight from the engineer
Engineers deliver from their own Mac. Sequence checks each mix for clipping, loudness and the right song, then lines it up with the last one to the sample.
